Alex had quite a first tonight — he was invited to be an artist in residence at a garden tour in our hometown. We had some of his artwork on display and some of his greeting cards for sale while he worked on a current painting while people walked through. Talk about stepping out of one’s comfort zone — he actually had strangers coming up and asking him questions and talking with him while he worked! But he enjoyed himself, and was very polite and responsive to questions and compliments on his work. The compliments were great, but the interactions were priceless. A big first, a big night.
